Citigroup in London seeks an experienced Trading Application Software Engineer to join the Equity Finance Technology team. The role focuses on building high-performance trading applications, collaborating with global teams and delivering agile solutions.

The ideal candidate has strong Java/Kafka/SQL/Git skills, experience in QA/TDD/BDD and a background in full stack development with React. Hybrid work up to 2 days from home is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• SME in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Agile methodologies experience and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Resolve high-impact problems by evaluating complex processes and standards.
• Provide expertise in application programming and ensure design aligns with architecture.
• Utilise knowledge of system flow and develop coding/testing standards.
• Develop knowledge of how architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Coach mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
• Work with traders to build business solutions through agile delivery.
• Collaborate with technologists across locations to deliver technical work.
