Citigroup in London seeks an experienced Trading Application Software Engineer to join the Equity Finance Technology team. The role focuses on building high-performance trading applications, collaborating with global teams and delivering agile solutions.

The ideal candidate has strong Java/Kafka/SQL/Git skills, experience in QA/TDD/BDD and a background in full stack development with React. Hybrid work up to 2 days from home is offered.

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Extensive development experience
• Technical skills in Java, Kafka, SQL, and Git
• Experience in performing QA, TDD, and BDD practices
• Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Flexibility to work with a global team across geographies and time zones
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
• Familiarity with agile methodologies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• React and full stack development skills are beneficial
• Knowledge of Prime Services is a plus
