Job summary

Spinwell Ltd is recruiting a Java Developer for a 12-month contract with hybrid working across Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham (60% office). The role involves delivering services for public sector customers, turning requirements into production-ready code and ensuring system robustness.

You will work with Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka and MongoDB, contribute to automated tests, and collaborate with engineers to shape architecture and best practices.

Qualifications

• Collaborates to review specs and develop medium/high complexity software.
• Translates requirements into production-ready code with proper documentation.
• Keeps alignment with stakeholders and architecture standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver software services for citizens and transform business requirements into code.
• Design, test and maintain robust, reusable libraries and services.
• Produce comprehensive automated unit/integration tests and documentation.
• Provide 3rd line support and out-of-hours assistance when required.
