Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our team across multiple UK locations. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications and contribute to cloud-based solutions using AWS services.

The role requires proficiency in Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and working with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. You will also develop batch processing systems and mentor junior developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Java Developer in a product development or services environment.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and Event Bus.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), including SQL and performance troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience with batch processing frameworks and tools.
• Python experience (minimum 2 years)
