The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise‑grade Java applications.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming principles and software engineering best practices.

• Experience working effectively within a collaborative development team environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Understanding of coding standards, code quality principles, and secure development practices.

• Proven problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and adopting new ways of working.
• Awareness of AI‑assisted delivery approaches and their application within the software development lifecycle.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Exposure to SOAP and REST‑based service development.
• Familiarity with API‑led integration approaches.
• Knowledge of modern application architecture patterns.
• Understanding of agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience contributing to code reviews and development best practices.
• Relevant Java or cloud‑related certifications.
• Exposure to Financial Services industry projects or regulated environments.
