Job summary

Softcat plc is seeking an experienced eCommerce Developer to build and enhance the eBusiness portal, translating requirements into efficient technical solutions, and delivering API integrations with internal teams and partners. You will maintain and optimize existing functionality and scale the platform for speed and reliability.

The role offers hybrid working, flexible hours, and the chance to contribute to a market-leading online experience within a collaborative eBusiness team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and maintaining eCommerce platforms.
• Strong Java development skills with experience using Java 21.
• Proficiency in SQL, JSON, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and Groovy.
• Familiarity with Python, CXML, and Azure is a plus.

Experteer Overview As an eCommerce Developer at Softcat, you will build and enhance the eBusiness portal to deliver features that meet customer and business needs. You'll translate requirements into efficient technical solutions and work with internal teams and partners to implement API integrations. You'll maintain existing functionality and optimize the platform for speed and scale. This role sits in the collaborative eBusiness team that aims to simplify buying for customers while driving efficiencies.
