Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking a Java Developer - Cloud Services for a 12 month initial contract, based in Newcastle with hybrid working. The role is SC Cleared and offers 70 p/h inside IR35.

You will join an Agile Scrum team delivering cloud-based geospatial software. The candidate will design, develop, test and deploy cloud services, participate in sprint ceremonies and ensure code quality through reviews and testing, with in-office presence 3 days a week and 2 days

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java with experience in cloud services.
• Experience in unit testing and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, readable, scalable code using Java and related technologies.
• Develop reusable patterns and improve team velocity.
• Write unit and automated tests to support quality assurance.
• Conduct design and code reviews for best practices, security, and scalability.
• Document solutions and share knowledge of implementations.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups.
• Collaborate with the scrum team to meet sprint commitments.
