Job Title: Java Cloud Engineer - RFT Technology (Accounting Domain)

Location: London

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

You will join the Accounting Tribe/Domain within Deutsche Bank's Global Technology, Data, and Innovation (TDI) group. Our domain handles T+1 Product Control and supplies essential information to the General Ledger from Transaction and Hedge Accounting.

We aim to develop simplified, reusable applications, data, and infrastructure, supported by our strategic partnership with Google and our commitment to Cloud technology.

Your key responsibilities:

• Develop Java applications in an Agile environment, covering the full software development lifecycle
• Design, develop, and document microservice-based and Cloud-native application components
• Guide teams, write maintainable and reusable code, and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with UI/UX teams, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders across regions and time zones
• Assist in test automation for new and existing functionalities
• Engage in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and specifications with engineering teams

Your skills and experience:

• Experience with Agile frameworks, software design, Java, Python, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, OpenAPI, and Cloud Platforms
• Strong understanding of Domain Driven Design and Hexagonal Architecture
• Knowledge of messaging technologies like Kafka, Pub/Sub, or MQ is advantageous
• Proven ability to handle high-volume data and make performance-oriented design decisions
• Experience with TDD and BDD practices in complex application development
