Job Title: Java Cloud Engineer - RFT Technology (Accounting Domain)

Location: London

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

You will be joining the Accounting Tribe/Domain within Deutsche Bank's Global Technology, Data, and Innovation (TDI) group. Our domain is responsible for T+1 Product Control and providing the necessary information to the General Ledger from Transaction and Hedge Accounting.

We are working to create simplified, reusable, consumable applications, data, and infrastructure, underpinned by our strategic partnership with Google and commitment to Cloud.

Your key responsibilities

• Java application development in an Agile environment, covering the full software development lifecycle
• Design, develop, and document microservice-based & Cloud-native application components
• Guide teams, write maintainable and reusable code, and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with UI/UX, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders across regions
• Contribute to test automation and participate in technical discussions and architecture decisions

Your skills and experience

• Experience with Agile frameworks and software design
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, OpenAPI, Cloud Platforms, and SQL
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design and Hexagonal Architecture
• Experience with messaging technologies like Kafka, Pub/Sub, MQ is a plus
• Ability to handle high volumes of data and make performance-oriented design decisions
• Experience with TDD and BDD practices
