The Julia Anderson Training Programme provides early-career professionals with the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience by contributing to a variety of projects and initiatives led by the Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI), supporting their professional development and career progression.
This programme is designed for individuals with little or no professional experience. To be eligible, applicants must have less than two months' full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in health, science, medicine, technology, business management, or any office-based role. Applicants must also have the right to work in the UK and must not have completed paid or unpaid internships totalling two months or more.
The programme runs from 3 February 2027 to 27 April 2027. These dates are fixed and cannot be changed.
Do you want to gain experience in communications and events? The Communications and Events Trainee (Education) will work with our education and communications teams to promote courses and events.
You will support communications, marketing and events activity for IGHI Education programmes. Your responsibilities will include event planning and delivery, writing and designing marketing content, using website and social media platforms. As Communications and Events Trainee (Education) you will also conduct desk research and competitor analysis and learn about web accessibility and search engine optimisation.
The Trainee will have some knowledge of communications and events planning or delivery. They will work as part of a team, be punctual and reliable, ask for help when needed, and show a willingness to learn new skills.
This is a full-time post 35 hours per week, fixed term contract.
