Job summary

RGSS's client is seeking a School Janitor in Leven for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The role is a temporary 3-month contract with a possibility to move into a permanent position after 12 weeks.

The post requires duties in schools, including opening/closing, light maintenance, and weekend community cover on a rotating schedule. PVG check is required prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or building caretaker experience advantageous.
• Able to pass PVG criminal record check before starting.

Responsibilities

• Fire alarm testing.
• Opening/locking up.
• Assisting cleaning team.
• Small planned maintenance tasks, including escorting contractors.
• Maintaining daily staff attendance records/signing in book.
• Preparing halls and rooms for a range of uses.
• Snow clearance and gritting.
• Removing or covering graffiti as soon as possible.
• On call – emergency out of hours response may be required.

ASAP Start

We are currently seeking a Janitor for work in a School in Leven. This is a temporary contract so will be initially for 3 months but will to move into a permanent role after 12 weeks.

The post is for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The role also includes providing community cover every third weekend. Weekend hours vary depending on the community lets, and when weekend cover is required, the weekday hours are adjusted to ensure the total weekly hours remain at 20.

• Ensuring graffiti is removed or covered as soon as possible

Full training on duties will be given, however previous experience in Janitorial role or Building caretaker role is advantageous.

Work is in a school so you must be able to pass a PVG Criminal record check before starting. We will put you through this.
