Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking an IVD Scientist in Flintshire to join an established laboratory team. The role covers diagnostic testing, assay development, and the manufacture of IVD kits.

You will receive hands-on experience within a GMP/GDP-focused environment and work on diverse project work. The ideal candidate has a relevant scientific degree and practical lab experience in a diagnostic or biotech setting, with strong attention to detail and good record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Practical laboratory experience in a scientific or diagnostic environment.
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and quality control.
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive problem-solver with willingness to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support diagnostic testing and assay development.
• Manufacture of IVD kits and processing of client samples.
• Operate laboratory equipment (PCR, capillary sequencing).
• Conduct quality control on materials, in-process samples and finished products.
• Manage stability storage activities and kit/sample preparation.
• Analyse data and prepare accurate laboratory records per GDP standards.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment, and safety standards.
• Provide training or supervisory support when required.
