Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking an IVD Scientist to join a busy laboratory in Flintshire. The role involves diagnostic testing, assay development and kit manufacture, with a strong focus on quality control and regulatory standards.

You will work on hands-on lab tasks, data analysis and documentation, ensuring GDP-compliant records and safe lab practices. A relevant science degree and practical lab experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant laboratory experience in a scientific, diagnostic, biotech or related environment.
• Good understanding of laboratory procedures, quality control and accurate record-keeping.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support diagnostic testing, assay development and kit manufacture.
• Receive and process client samples and raw materials.
• Operate laboratory equipment including PCR and capillary sequencing systems.
• Conduct quality control checks on materials, in-process samples and finished products.
• Manage stability storage activities and prepare kits and samples for dispatch.
• Analyse data, prepare reports and maintain accurate records in line with GDP standards.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment and health and safety standards.
• Take ownership of projects and provide training or supervisory support when required.
