Job summary

Cromwell Medical Staffing is seeking an ITU Nurse to join our team in Exeter. The role focuses on direct patient care in the intensive care unit, including monitoring and operating critical devices within a high-stakes environment.

• Operate ventilators, infusion pumps, dialysis machines and critical devices safely.
• Deliver complex drug regimens with precision and monitor responses.
• Act rapidly in life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest or sepsis.
• Maintain strict hygiene and infection-control protocols.

Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care

• Patient Monitoring: Constantly observe vital signs, neurological status, and organ function to detect changes quickly
• Operate ventilators, infusion pumps, dialysis machines, and other critical devices safely
• Deliver complex drug regimens such as sedatives, vasopressors, and antibiotics with precision
• Act rapidly in life‑threatening situations like cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, or sepsis
• Maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent hospital‑acquired infections

Qualifications & Requirements

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Minimum 6 months of clinical experience in an acute hospital setting (NHS experience desirable).
• Up‑to‑date mandatory training (e.g., BLS, Manual Handling, Infection Control).
• Right to work in the UK.
