Job summary

Cromwell Medical Staffing in Basingstoke is seeking an ITU Nurse to provide focused patient care in the Intensive Care Unit. The role requires active monitoring, rapid response to deteriorations, and collaboration with NHS teams to deliver high-quality care.

You will hold an adult RN with NMC registration, have at least six months in an acute setting, and complete mandatory training. Flexible patterns and competitive hourly rates are offered across NHS trusts.

Qualifications

• RN (Adult) with NMC registration is required.
• Minimum 6 months in acute hospital setting; NHS experience desirable.
• Up-to-date mandatory training (e.g., BLS, Manual Handling, Infection Control).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and status continuously.
• Operate ventilators, infusion pumps, dialysis machines, and other critical devices.
• Administer complex regimens such as sedatives and antibiotics with precision.
• Respond rapidly to life-threatening events such as cardiac arrest or sepsis.
• Maintain strict infection control and hygiene protocols.
