Job summary

Confidential in Cambridge is seeking an Italian-speaking Credit Controller to manage end-to-end accounts receivable for Italian customers. The role is hybrid (1 day in-office, 4 days remote) with a salary of £35,000–£38,000 and excellent benefits.

Fluent Italian and English are essential. You will monitor credit status, collect debts, and collaborate with sales, customer service and finance teams to ensure timely payments.

Qualifications

• Fluent Italian and English essential.
• Experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
• Experience managing customer accounts and collecting debt.
• Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems advantageous.
• Electronic invoicing experience beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to investigate and resolve disputes effectively.
• Good organisation and time-management; able to prioritise deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Italian business customer accounts and proactively pursue outstanding payments.
• Contact customers regarding overdue balances and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Monitor customer credit status and make recommendations regarding credit limits and blocks.
• Post and allocate incoming customer payments and cash receipts.
• Issue customer statements, payment reminders and dunning correspondence.
• Investigate and resolve account queries, disputes and payment discrepancies.
• Work closely with customers to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
• Review customer-held orders and identify potential credit-related issues.
• Provide information and support for audits and maintain accurate records.
