Job summary

Gino D’Acampo Leeds Marriott Hotel is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You will lead the kitchen, cook authentic Italian dishes to the restaurant’s standards and support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

We seek a proactive leader with a strong eye for detail, high standards in food safety and the ability to manage a busy service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sous Chef or senior chef.
• Passion for Italian cuisine.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef in running the kitchen smoothly and efficiently.
• Lead by example and work with the team during prep and service.
• Prepare and cook high-quality Italian dishes to standard.
• Maintain food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team, including training.
• Ensure all food safety, hygiene and health standards are met.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, deliveries and waste.
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment and work with FOH.
