Job summary

Global Banking School is seeking an IT Technician to ensure uninterrupted teaching and learning by delivering high-quality, face-to-face IT support on campus. You will install and configure hardware/software, troubleshoot issues, and assist with AV and network-related tasks.

The role emphasizes security, data privacy, and hands-on IT support both on site and remotely when needed. A strong foundation in Windows environments and ITIL practices is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with installation of operating systems and software.
• Experience with computer networks and network administration.
• Knowledge of service management systems and ITIL best practice.
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles (CompTIA Network+/CompTIA Security+).
• Familiarity with MS Exchange and Active Directory on Windows platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, face-to-face IT services to students and staff on campus.
• Provide technical support for Audio Visual and IT equipment setup.
• Set up and configure PC/laptop equipment, OS, and drivers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, record logs and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Support IT in-person and remotely via phone or online chat.
• Follow ITIL guidelines and use service management processes.

What We Do: Our IT Team supports the campus by managing systems, troubleshooting issues, protecting data and enhancing our digital tools, ensuring that our students and staff experience smooth and secure operations across the institution. The Role: Do you consider yourself a skilled and proactive IT Technician? If so, you've landed at the right place! In this role, you will ensure that our students and staff can work and learn without interruption, by maintaining troubleshooting. You will be the first point of support for a wide range of technology needs. This is not just a technical role, it is an opportunity to empower education and make a tangible impact on the daily success of our students. To provide high quality, face to face IT services to students and staff based on one of the GBS campuses. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship! The Role Involves:

• To provide high quality, face to face IT services to students and staff based on one of the GBS campuses.
• Providing technical support in moving and setting up of Audio Visual and IT equipment as required.
• Set up and configuration of PC/laptop equipment with required operating systems installing software and drivers where necessary.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implement corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escape to other technical resources as appropriate.
• Ensure the maintaining of records/logs of loan equipment, repairs and fixes and maintenance schedules.
• Follow best practice guidelines in ensuring security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
  Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles (CompTIA Network+/CompTIA Security+).
• Hands-on experience with installation of operating systems and software, computer networks, network administration and network installation.
• Experience of providing IT Support in person and remotely (by phone, on-line chat)
• Knowledge of service management systems and ITIL best practice.
• Knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
• Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (MS Exchange, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring.
• Knowledge with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions
