Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is helping a mainstream secondary school in Leeds recruit an IT Teacher for an ASAP start. This full-time, long-term role requires delivering the IT curriculum and managing a complete timetable within a supportive department.

The ideal candidate holds QTS and has IT teaching experience; experience in a classroom and strong communication are essential. DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• IT teaching experience for at least one full term.
• Experience in a classroom environment or education setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Current DBS or willingness to apply for a new enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging IT lessons across the secondary age range.
• Take responsibility for a full timetable, including planning, marking and assessment.
• Support pupils’ progress through clear instruction, feedback and high expectations.
• Contribute to the department and wider school community.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Follow school policies, safeguarding expectations and procedures.
