Academics Southampton are seeking an IT Teacher to meet the exceptional demand for one of the Secondary SEN Schools we are supporting in September. As an IT Teacher you must be confident in demonstrating a thorough curriculum knowledge and the ability to create stimulating lessons to meet individual child's needs.
You must have QTS and a relevant subject degree to be considered for this position, newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply for this role.
IT Teacher - SEN - Southampton
The school cater to children aged 7-19 years with EHCP and ASC diagnosis, you should have experience with children with Special Educational Needs such as autism, SEMH and ADHD - you do not need specific SEN training to be considered for this role but it would be advantageous.
As an IT Teacher you must have:
* An understanding of high-quality teaching, and the ability to model this for others and support others to improve
* Effective communication with both staff and students.
* Ability to communicate a vision and inspire others.
* A genuine want to build effective working relationships with the team.
* An understanding of the processes involved in EHCP documentation.
* A commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils.
* The ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
