Job Title: Systems Engineer

At Protein Works, we rely on our IT systems to power solutions across all functions at our state-of-the-art facility, PW Campus.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, install, and maintain company-wide systems and integrations, including e-commerce, ERP, WMS, and internal applications.
• Define best practices for API usage, middleware, and data synchronization.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure scalable and secure system integrations.
• Monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement security, backup, and redundancy strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Work with vendors to evaluate and deploy new technologies.
• Create technical documentation and system schematics.
• Support and mentor junior team members and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile workflows using tools like Atlassian JIRA.

Qualifications:

• Background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems analysis.
• Experience with APIs (REST, SOAP), middleware, SQL and NoSQL databases, message queues, and security protocols.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
