Leo Recruitment Limited is hiring an IT Systems Engineer in the East Kilbride/Glasgow area. The role spans Windows Server, Hyper‑V, AD, Entra ID and Intune with hands-on responsibility across physical data centres and core infrastructure.
You will maintain existing systems while helping to design and deploy new infrastructure as technology evolves. The position offers hybrid working with one remote day and a competitive benefits package.
Location: East Kilbride – soon moving to Glasgow (4 days per week onsite)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum plus benefits
If you work in infrastructure, there’s a good chance you’ve experienced one of two extremes.
You’re either responsible for almost everything with the words “IT” attached to it but rarely get enough time to properly improve anything.
Or you’ve ended up so siloed that you only ever see one small part of the infrastructure you’re supporting.
This role sits somewhere much more interesting in the middle.
You’ll join an established technology company where you’ll have the opportunity to work across the infrastructure rather than being confined to one small area of it.
Windows Server, Hyper‑V, networking, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, backups, security and physical data centre infrastructure all form part of the environment. You’ll maintain what’s already there, but importantly, you’ll also be involved in improving it and building new infrastructure as the technology evolves.
So, if you’re the type of Systems Engineer who enjoys understanding how everything fits together, solving problems properly, and having enough variety to keep things interesting, there’s plenty here to get involved with.
If you’ve built up broad infrastructure experience as an IT Systems Engineer and enjoy being an all-rounder, this is a role where that breadth will be useful.
You’ll still have the day-to-day responsibility that comes with looking after business‑critical systems, but you’ll also have the opportunity to improve environments, introduce new technology, work on infrastructure projects and get properly hands‑on with the systems you’re responsible for.
We welcome applications from neurodivergent candidates and are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
