Location: Central London(Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office, with some travel across London)
Work Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract (Potential to go permanent)
Are you an Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys getting stuck into problems, challenging the way things are done and actually having a say in how technology is built?
We're working with a purpose-driven organisation that's going through a major digital transformation, and they're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help shape what their technology environment looks forward.
This isn't a role where you'll simply be keeping the lights on or working through an endless list of tickets.
The organisation has a large, multi-site environment, with plenty of opportunity to improve, modernise and redesign its infrastructure. From Microsoft technologies and endpoint management through to networking, security and cloud, there's a lot happening and even more planned.
You'll work closely with the Infrastructure & Cyber Security Lead, getting involved in technical discussions, bouncing ideas around and helping build solutions that make a genuine difference.
If you're someone who likes understanding why something works the way it does, rather than just accepting that it does, this could be right up your street.
We're not looking for someone who knows absolutely everything. We're looking for someone with a solid technical foundation, a broad understanding of infrastructure and, most importantly, the right mindset.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Just as importantly, we want someone who thinks before they act.
Someone who asks questions, considers the risks and understands the wider impact of a technical decision.
You don't need to have worked with every tool under the sun. If you've got the fundamentals, the curiosity to learn and the confidence to work things out, we'd love to hear from you.
Because you'll actually get the opportunity to make a difference.
If you've ever worked somewhere where you've spotted problems, had ideas for improvements or wanted to get involved in bigger projects but haven't been given the opportunity, this could be exactly what you're looking for.
You'll be joining an organisation that's investing in its technology and has a genuine appetite to improve how things are done.
There's a real opportunity to take ownership, contribute to infrastructure design and help establish the standards that will shape the environment for years to come.
You'll also be working closely with a manager who values collaboration, curiosity and willingness to learn over simply having the longest list of certifications.
And alongside the technical opportunity, you'll be working for an organisation where the technology you build and improve supports a genuinely meaningful cause.
If you're an Infrastructure Engineer who wants more ownership, more variety and the opportunity to help shape an evolving technology environment, I'd love to hear from you.
