Job summary

Albert Bartlett IT team is seeking a proactive IT Systems Administrator to maintain and enhance our infrastructure across the UK operations. This role supports colleagues, troubleshoots issues, and drives improvements to ensure reliable, secure systems.

You will work in a collaborative environment, applying knowledge of Windows Server, networking, security, and backups while engaging with vendors and internal customers to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT systems administration or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, networking, and system security.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
• Experience with backup solutions, virtualization, and cloud technologies is a plus.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and other IT systems.
• Provide timely and effective technical support to users across various departments.
• Implement system upgrades, patches, and backups to keep infrastructure secure and efficient.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve IT issues.
• Assist in IT projects aimed at improving our systems and processes.
• Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
