We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team, playing a key role in supporting users, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring a robust, reliable service across multiple geographical sites.

IT Support Specialist
Location: London (UK-based)

Type: Permanent / Full-Time

We’re seeking an IT Support Specialist responsible for supporting users, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring service reliability across various locations.

The Role
  1. Service Delivery:
    1. Provide on-site IT support at key client locations.
    2. Conduct bi-annual preventative maintenance and ad-hoc site visits.
    3. Support critical sites via hybrid on-site, remote, and on-call support.
  2. User & Desktop Support:
    1. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with terminals, monitors, phones, and peripherals.
    2. Support non-standard equipment like card scanners.
    3. Perform cable patching, Wi-Fi diagnostics, WAP replacement, and PC builds (including Thin Clients).
    4. Deploy and remove thin client setups and ensure workspace equipment functionality.
  3. Infrastructure & Co-Location Services:
    1. Manage installations, moves, and changes of IT infrastructure.
    2. Perform tasks like power cycling and cabling.
    3. Supervise third-party vendors to ensure standards compliance.
  4. Asset & Lifecycle Management:
    1. Tag and track hardware assets in the CMDB.
    2. Manage base image installations and maintain deployment stock.
    3. Oversee asset lifecycle and disposal processes.
  5. Service Improvements & Continuous Enhancement:
    1. Reduce incidents through scheduled maintenance.
    2. Participate in service reviews and share knowledge.
    3. Drive process improvements with documentation and automation.
Qualifications
  • Experience in IT support, infrastructure, and asset management.
  • Proficiency in Windows administration, cable patching, and device builds.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and customer focus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools and change management processes.
