Job summary

Volvo Trucks is looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide 1st and 2nd line support across IT systems, applications, hardware and data access in Warwick. You will coordinate system changes, support new technologies, and advise on IT solutions to maximise business value.

Qualifications

• Experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support.
• Troubleshoot Windows, business applications, hardware and data access.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and mobile device management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications; Advanced Excel a bonus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with teams and external suppliers.

Salary: up to £37,000 depending on experience, Company car and annual Company bonus

Location: Warwick, UK

Travel: Frequent travel – a full, valid driving licence is essential.

Who are you?

You’re an IT professional with experience in 1st and 2nd line support, confident troubleshooting everything from Windows and business applications to hardware, mobile devices and data access.

You Will Also Bring

• A solid understanding of IT infrastructure and mobile device management, alongside strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications. (Advanced Excel would be advantageous)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Experience contributing to or delivering IT infrastructure and business systems projects, from implementing new solutions and upgrades to improving existing ways of working.
• The ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and deliver projects and tasks to agreed deadlines.
• Confidence collaborating across teams and all levels, influencing others and helping introduce technologies that improve business processes.
• A commitment to excellent service, continuous learning and maintaining confidentiality, data security and compliance with IT policies and procedures.

• Resolve technical issues across IT systems, business applications, hardware, mobile devices and user access, keeping disruption to a minimum.
• Test software updates and new releases before they go live, ensuring solutions meet business needs and perform as expected.
• Work with Volvo Group colleagues, other markets and external suppliers to coordinate system implementations, upgrades, repairs and hardware replacements.
• Support new technologies and infrastructure projects, helping deliver solutions that meet changing business requirements.
• Contribute to IT site security assessments and help maintain compliance with Volvo Group standards and ISO cybersecurity controls.
• Guide and support colleagues in using their IT tools effectively, sharing knowledge and creating training materials where needed.
