Job summary

The University of Greater Manchester is seeking an IT professional to provide day-to-day technology support to staff and students at our new Medical School. The role focuses on a local IT helpdesk, supporting teaching spaces, simulation environments, AV gear, desktop devices, software, and learning technologies.

You will work closely with the Medical School team and central IT, developing clear support notes, and assisting academic staff with learning materials.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting users in a busy IT environment.
• Good working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, hardware and peripherals.
• Familiar with AV equipment, WiFi, authentication and user access.
• Able to maintain clear support notes and guidance and work with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support to staff and students and act as a local IT helpdesk.
• Support teaching spaces, simulation environments, AV equipment, desktop devices, software and learning technologies.
• Assist academic staff to produce learning support materials.
