Job summary

A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst for their London team. This role involves providing hands-on support across various technologies, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, and collaborating with staff and external partners. Ideal candidates will have a strong IT support background, particularly in financial services, and be proficient in Windows, Microsoft 365, and Azure.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in IT support roles (1st/2nd line), ideally in financial services.

Job description

A leading financial services organisation is looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join their London-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-performing environment, providing hands-on support across a wide range of technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide daily support across desktops, networks, telephony, video conferencing, and mobile devices.
  2. Monitor and maintain local IT infrastructure, including backups, storage, and virtualization.
  3. Support cloud and collaboration tools: Azure, Microsoft 365, Citrix, Intune, Teams/Zoom.
  4. Administer mobile devices via MS Intune & Endpoint.
  5. Produce clear documentation and follow IT procedures.
  6. Liaise confidently with staff and external partners at all levels.
Skills & Experience:
  1. 3+ years in IT support roles (1st/2nd line), ideally within financial services or a corporate environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Citrix.
  3. Experience with telephony systems, voice recording, and endpoint security tools.
  4. Understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN/VLAN), scripting (PowerShell, Python), and SQL.
  5. Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Degree in IT or a related field.
  2. Certifications such as CCNA or Microsoft Azure (not essential).
