Job summary

Northwood Consuma Tissue Ltd is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide second- and third-line assistance across UK sites. You will troubleshoot Windows 11 devices, manage Microsoft 365 workloads, and support onboarding, device configuration, and security policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Windows 11 configuration and user profile management.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Understanding of MFA, phishing prevention, access control and data protection.
  • Strong networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN).

Responsibilities

  • Provide second-line technical support to employees across UK sites and third-line support for cloud and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot hardware on Windows 11 devices such as laptops, desktops, and mobiles.
  • Support Office 365 apps including Teams, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Assist onboarding/offboarding, including account creation, device configuration and permissions.
  • Support device management, security policies, updates and app deployment.
  • Contribute to IT asset management, licensing updates and lifecycle.
  • Assist with IT improvements, technology upgrades and rollout across sites.
  • Perform basic printer, handheld device and peripheral troubleshooting.
  • Participate in digital transformation or cloud migration initiatives.
  • Assist with documentation, testing and deployment activities for IT projects.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues on multi-site projects.

Job description

Job Requirements
We’re looking for knowledge and understanding in the following areas:
  • Windows 11 configuration, troubleshooting, and user profile management.
  • Cloud environments, e.g. Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Cybersecurity principles such as MFA, phishing prevention, access control, and data protection.
  • Advanced networking concepts (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, VPN).
