Job summary

The Orpheus Centre in Godstone, Surrey, is seeking an IT Support Analyst to deliver reliable, secure technology services across the organisation. The role combines hands-on support, systems administration, cybersecurity, project support and stakeholder engagement.

You will liaise with our MSP to ensure issues are resolved quickly and systems remain secure and operational while enabling staff to work effectively with Microsoft 365, SharePoint and related services.

Qualifications

  • Experience in IT support, service delivery or systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Intune, Active Directory and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, servers and business applications.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Customer-focused approach and ability to work with a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Orpheus Centre is a specialist college that uses the arts to empower young disabled adults to develop independence and achieve their aspirations. We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Analyst to help deliver reliable, secure and innovative technology services across our organisation.

Salary: £27,250 per annum

Location: Godstone, Surrey

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year) Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Contract: Permanent

About the role

Reporting to the Digital Transformation and Data Manager, you will provide first-class IT support to staff while helping to maintain and develop our IT infrastructure. This role combines hands-on technical support, systems administration, cybersecurity, project support and stakeholder engagement.

You will act as a key liaison between users and our Managed Service Provider (MSP), ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and systems remain secure and operational.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, network and Microsoft 365 issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user incidents both remotely and on-site.
  • Support and maintain key IT infrastructure, including servers, cloud services and business applications.
  • Work closely with third-party IT providers and act as an escalation point for technical issues.
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, system updates and patch management.
  • Maintain accurate asset management records and IT documentation.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup and user access.

What we're looking for
Essential
  • Experience in IT support, service delivery or systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Intune, Active Directory and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, servers and business applications.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A customer-focused approach and ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Desirable
  • Relevant IT qualification.
  • Experience using tools such as Datto RMM, Autotask or Snipe-IT.
  • Experience supporting projects and producing reports or dashboards.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology, digital inclusion or educational technology.
  • Understanding of TechAbility standards and accessibility best practices.
