IT Support Administrator

Job description

We are looking for a skilled IT Support Administrator who will maintain our IT systems and networks to execute technical and administrative tasks and maintain our computers and networking systems to their maximum capacity with greatest efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure software, hardware and networks
• Monitor system performance and troubleshooting issues
• Assist with ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Set up new accounts and workstations.
• Contribute to an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
• Provide technical support to all employees
• Design, plan and execute training on the use of systems and networks
• Install and configure hardware equipment and software programs
• Oversee, track and measure system and network performance
• Diagnose & troubleshoot issues by applying Technical expertise, product knowledge, communication & problem-solving skills
• Execute different maintenance activities when needed
• Work with other IT professionals to ensure upholding IT standards
• Perform other ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned

Skills & Experience:

• Previous working experience in a Support or Network Administrator or similar role.
• Experience with databases and patch management.
• Knowledge of system security.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
• The ability to adapt to different environments and responsibilities
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
• In-depth knowledge of a variety of IT systems, databases and applications
• Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex IT issues
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail with competent vocabulary
• BA Information Technology, Computer Science or Industry Certification
• Willing to go the extra mile on certain projects when needed
