Job summary

Janes is seeking a skilled IT supplier manager to oversee end-to-end supplier engagement. You will define SLAs, monitor performance, and ensure value for money across complex contracts. Your role includes building strategic partnerships and driving ongoing improvement in supplier management.

You will lead tenders, negotiate terms, manage risks, and align supplier services with Janes business needs. Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• CSMP or ITIL preferred.
• Proven IT supplier/vendor management and/or IT Service Delivery experience with large contracts.
• Proficient in SaaS software and licence administration.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build productive relationships with stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to engage internal and external partners.
• Negotiation of contracts, pricing and terms to secure favorable terms.
• Understanding of IT products, services and market trends.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to use performance data and risk metrics.
• Project management of supplier-related initiatives.
• Strategic thinking to align supplier performance with business objectives.

Job purpose:

Overseeing the full lifecycle of IT supplier engagement from selection and contracting, onboarding, technical setup and administration, performance monitoring, issue resolution and governance.

Key responsibilities include defining and enforcing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), managing contract compliance, ensuring value for money, mitigating risks, and fostering strategic partnerships to align 3rd party services with Janes business needs.

How you will contribute at Janes:

• Identifying suitable IT suppliers based on commercial and technical factors.
• Running tenders, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
• Establishing new supplier relationships and processes.
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Defining, monitoring, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLAs.
• Managing and resolving supplier performance issues and tracking progress towards resolution.
• Building collaborative and strategic partnerships to foster innovation and value.
• Managing risk through ongoing supplier assurance and due diligence activities.
• Driving initiatives for continuous improvement within supplier management processes.
• Identifying opportunities to optimize supplier performance and value over time.

The ideal skills and experience for this role are:

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Supplier Management Professional (CSMP) or ITIL are often preferred.
• Proven experience in IT supplier or vendor management and/or IT Service Delivery management, with a track record of managing large, complex, or strategic contracts
• Proficient in relevant SaaS software and licence administration
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage and clearly convey information with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• The ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable contract terms and managing ongoing commercial relationships.
• Understanding of IT products, services, and market trends to make informed decisions.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical skills - ability to analyze performance data, financial information, and risk metrics to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
• Project Management - Managing projects and initiatives related to supplier services.
• Strategic Thinking - Aligning supplier performance with long‑term business objectives.
