Job summary

Sanderson Recruitment is partnering with a leading global ICT services provider to recruit a Storage & Backup Engineer. The engagement is six months and is mostly remote, with one to two days per week onsite. You will join an operational backup team, perform daily checks, manage BAU storage tasks, and support Digital Solutions projects.

The role requires SC clearance and experience with backup systems. Strong automation mindset and familiarity with ServiceNow and ticketing will help drive

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operational backup support.
• Experience with Avamar, NetBackup or Storage Protect/Plus.
• SC clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Work as an operational team member in the backup team, carrying out daily checks and manual backup refreshes.
• Perform BAU storage management tasks, including Robocopy.
• Maintain enterprise storage directory structures and DFS.
• Support storage- and backup-related aspects of ongoing Digital Solutions projects.
• Process ServiceNow and ADO tickets.
• Support delivery activities as needed.
• Respond to service failures.
• Improve the service and introduce automation where possible.

Job description

Salary: £104,000 - 111,800 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in operational support and the backup domain


• Operational experience with Avamar, NetBackup, or Storage Protect/Plus preferred


• Experience with Leonardo IT operational processes and backup systems preferred


• SC clearance
