Job Description
As the “IT Solutions Architect – Subsurface Projects,” you will be responsible for designing and overseeing IT solutions during various phases of Subsurface projects at our Whetstone and Rugby locations. You will ensure all requirements are clearly understood and translated into actionable plans, managing their implementation alongside a Project Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Naval Delivery Manager and Project Managers to interact with end customers, defining and maintaining optimal air-gapped IT solutions.
- Manage a small team of IT specialists on a daily basis.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, design, and solution workshops to capture functional and non-functional requirements, including applications. Own design deliverables such as Statements of Work and Architecture documents, ensuring requirements traceability.
- Communicate and enforce design standards with customers and key project stakeholders.
- Promote excellence through continuous improvement, referencing best practices, reference architectures, and solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams for product enhancements and reference architectures.
- Develop technical expertise in your domain and provide technical consultancy services as needed.
- Plan activities, report progress, and complete tasks within the approved budget.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- UK citizen eligible for Security Clearance.
- Experience with NNPPI, On-Premises, and Air-Gapped environments concerning applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity tools, and backup solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to articulate technical topics clearly.
- Good knowledge of regulatory networks and requirements, with innovative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as required; full UK driving license.
