Job summary

ManpowerGroup UK is seeking a Solution Architect to design and implement solutions across the Naval Ships environment, govern architecture, drive adoption of standards and manage the long-term health of the IT estate.

You will define the solution architecture, capture current and future architectures for projects, provide Technical Authority leadership, and oversee design governance through change and configuration management.

Qualifications

• Understanding of IT/software development lifecycle including Agile methodologies and governance.
• Proven experience in design, development and deployment of major IT applications.
• Proven knowledge of TOGAF and architecture frameworks.

• Defining the solution architecture and design for the project to meet business and system requirements within constraints.
• Capturing as-is and to-be architectures for assigned projects.

Solution Architect Scotstoun/New Malden/Filton/Portsmouth -(2 Days onsite) Up to £80k+10% Bonus

Role description:

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of solutions across the Naval Ships environment and be accountable for governing architecture, driving adoption of standards and managing the long-term health of the IT estate.

Core Duties:

• Defining the solution architecture and design for the project to meet business and system requirements, within the project constraints of cost and timescale, and the agreed architectural and technical framework.
• Capturing the as-is and to-be application, data and technology architectures for the assigned projects.
• Providing Project Technical Authority leadership, ensuring that the solution architecture and design is as required and is communicated effectively.
• Providing design management and governance through the operation of change and configuration management activities.

Essential skills:

• Understanding of IT / software development lifecycle (including methodologies e.g., Agile) and associated reviews, policies, standards, and governance processes.
• Proven experience in the design, development, and deployment of major IT applications and how those applications can support the business processes.
• Proven knowledge and experience of working within architecture frameworks e.g., TOGAF
