Job summary

Synergize Consulting Ltd is seeking an IT Services Engineer to work onsite on a defence client project on a contract basis. The role covers hardware and software support, system readiness, and deployment pre-testing to ensure reliable performance.

Qualifications

• A demonstrable background in IT hardware and software support.
• Strong hands-on engineer skills, including deployment, rollout, installation and testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications.
• Familiarity with testing processes, prior to system launches and go-live.
• Ability to manage hardware assets, logging correctly within internal systems and managing them through the deployment lifecycle.
• Experience working with switches, routers and servers within a deployment/installation environment.
• Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).

This is a varied role covering many key areas of support to a large deployment project and involves supporting both hardware and software systems, ensuring equipment is configured correctly, and performing testing before deployment to users or client environments.

You will play a key role in maintaining IT infrastructure and ensuring systems are ready for operational use.
