From supporting trackside operations tomaintainingfactory-based systems, our Service Desk team is at the forefront of delivering excellent IT support in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
As an IT Service Desk Student Placement,you’llgain hands‑on experience supporting a wide range of users, technologies, and business‑critical systems. This is a unique opportunity to develop your technical and customer service skills while contributing to the success of a Formula One team.
During your placement, you will provide first‑line IT support to users across the business, helping to resolve technical issues and ensuring a high standard of customer service. Working alongside experienced IT professionals,you’llgain exposure to a broad range of technologies, systems, and support processes while developing practical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
You’llsupport the day‑to‑day operation of the Service Desk,assistingwith incident management, service requests, device deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the user experience.
Provide first‑line support for hardware, software, and IT service‑related incidents and requests
Log, categorise, prioritise, and track support tickets through to resolution
Troubleshoot issues relating to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and business applications
Escalate complex issues to specialist IT teams whererequired
Assistwith the setup, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end‑user devices
Support user account administration, including onboarding, offboarding, and access management activities
Maintainaccuratedocumentation of incidents, resolutions, and IT procedures
Assistwith hardware asset management and inventory control
Support meeting room technology and audiovisual equipment across the site
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance IT services and user satisfaction
Currently studying a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, and seeking an industry placement during your penultimate year of university
Strong interest in IT support, customer service, and technology
Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, and computer hardware
Excellent problem‑solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting technical issues
Strong communicationskills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users
A customer‑focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learnnew technologies
You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
