Job summary

Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in East Grinstead is seeking an IT Service Desk Engineer (NHS AfC Band 4) to join our busy IT team. You will provide first and second line support, resolve hardware and software issues, and assist with IT projects under the Head of IT.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 4/5 or equivalent
• Microsoft Certified Professional in Windows Operating Systems
• Experience in an IT helpdesk environment

Responsibilities

• First Line Support: telephone and helpdesk – resolve issues with guidance and training.
• Second Line Support: onsite – resolve complex software/hardware problems.
• Diagnose, resolve and maintain computer systems, hardware and software faults for networked desktops and peripherals.
• Record and respond to IT support desk tickets, prioritising calls by severity and SLA.
