IT Security Manager – £67,000 + Benefits

We are seeking a technical, hands-on IT Security Manager to join a lean and growing security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skillset, experience with the Microsoft Security stack, and hands-on ability across various security domains.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the technical implementation of ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials+
• Managing and enhancing the Security Operations Center (SOC), with one analyst reporting directly to you
• Overseeing incident response, managing security incidents from detection to resolution
• Collaborating with the compliance team on vulnerability management
• Architecting secure solutions, validating baseline configurations, and recommending improvements to ensure compliance
• Working closely with stakeholders including Compliance and Infrastructure teams

Required Experience:

• Proficiency with the Microsoft security suite; Microsoft certifications are highly valued
• Experience with SIEM tools, such as Microsoft Sentinel or similar
• Managing network security and firewalls
• Exposure to PenTesting methodologies or practices (desirable)
• Experience with NAC solutions like Cisco ISE, ForeScout, or similar
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management processes

Desired Certifications:

• Microsoft Security certifications (preferred)
• CISM or CISSP (beneficial, but not essential)
