Job description

We are recruiting for an IT Project Manager to join the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), working on one of the most exciting infrastructure projects in the UK—Sizewell C. This new 3.2-gigawatt power station will generate low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and play a crucial role in the nation’s clean energy future for at least 60 years.

As IT Project Manager, you will join the Alliance IT and Digital Team, reporting to the Alliance IT Programme Manager. Your work will ensure all CWA partners are equipped with proven technology, supporting the validation, deployment and integration of IT solutions that underpin the success of Sizewell C.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Leading IT and business engagements across both the Alliance IT Team and partner IT teams
  • Preparing high‑quality reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring information supports robust, cost‑effective decision making
  • Initiating and embedding best practice in scope, information and configuration management
  • Producing actionable plans that help your team achieve key milestones
  • Proactively logging and escalating unresolved issues in line with delegated authority
  • Taking accountability for project KPIs and using data to monitor and drive performance
  • Embedding productivity and project controls techniques to support delivery
  • Balancing commercial and operational constraints in all decision making
  • Championing reliable digital data and its use in supporting effective, data‑driven project outcomes
  • Upholding nuclear safety responsibilities as defined in the Nuclear Baseline

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • A strong track record of IT project delivery, ideally in large, complex environments
  • A solid grasp of standard forms of contracts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at every level of a diverse organisation
  • Experience implementing safe systems of work
  • Proven team management skills, with a record of empowering and inspiring others
  • A commercially astute mindset
  • Resilience and decisiveness under pressure
  • Experience in mentoring, problem solving and performance evaluation
  • The ability to communicate and inspire a shared vision for delivery excellence

This is a unique opportunity to make a measurable impact on the UK’s sustainable energy future, within a dynamic, collaborative and supportive team.
