Position Overview

Talentmark are recruiting for an IT Product Owner to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 6 months. This role is hybrid, with 3 days a week in the office in Basingstoke.

Company:

Our client is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. They focus on finding answers for some of the world's most urgent medical needs.

Salary:

£28.95 to £38.60 per hour PAYE. Rates are dependent upon experience.

IT Product Owner Role:

• Help deliver new digital products and services that solve real business problems.
• Turn business needs into clear user stories in Jira.
• Join sprint planning, stand‑ups and retrospectives as an active member of the agile team.
• Keep technology and business teams talking, and answer day‑to‑day questions as they come up.
• Help resolve incidents and change requests within agreed service levels.
• Keep product documentation and status reports up to date.

Your Background:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Technology or a similar subject.
• A good grasp of agile ways of working and IT service management.
• Sharp analytical skills, with the knack of explaining ideas to both technical and non‑technical people.
• Hands‑on experience with Jira or similar tools, and ideally Microsoft 365 apps such as SharePoint or Power Automate.
• A curious mind about AI and automation, plus the people skills to work well with teams across different countries.

It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
