Job summary

Solution Performance Resourcing Limited is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join an established delivery team and take ownership of a range of medium-sized technology projects.

You will work across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, networks and data, managing around two projects at a time with values from £100k to £3m, collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering IT projects within a structured project environment.
• Experience delivering projects of moderate size and complexity.
• Experience working with either Agile, Waterfall or both methodologies.
• Strong project governance, risk and issue management experience.
• Experience managing suppliers and contracts.
• Strong budget and commercial management skills.
• Experience presenting to and facilitating Steering Groups.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• The ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and delivery partners.
• A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to understand technical concepts.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative, personable approach and the ability to work effectively within a relatively small team.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
• Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues.
• Track and forecast project budgets and costs.
• Produce regular project reporting and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Manage suppliers, delivery partners and contracts.
• Develop business cases and supporting project documentation.
• Facilitate technical design discussions and decision-making.
• Lead and facilitate Steering Groups, ensuring effective decision-making and governance.
• Manage project stage gates and escalte risks and issues where appropriate.
• Support procurement activity and commercial processes.
• Work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Ensure projects deliver against agreed objectives, timescales, budgets and governance requirements.
• Identify and manage opportunities to reduce risk through project delivery.
