Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a hands-on 2nd Line IT Engineer to maintain our day-to-day IT environment across two London offices, ensuring reliable operation of applications, infrastructure and end-user hardware.

The role involves managing Google Workspace, Iru, Revolut People, Linear, and automating tasks with AI tools, while owning hardware issues from laptops to printers and supporting onboarding/offboarding.

Qualifications

• Proven 2nd line IT experience.
• Experience in a fast-moving SaaS based IT environment.
• Scripting ability in one or more languages (Python, Bash).
• Confident supporting end-user hardware (Windows/macOS).
• Good debugging skills and willingness to pick up unfamiliar tasks.

Responsibilities

• You will manage the applications, workspaces and hardware that our team relies on every day and will work closely with the wider IT and engineering teams to operate, automate, and grow our IT environment.
• Work across our London-based offices, external sites and our growing cloud presence.
• Administer SaaS applications including but not limited to, Google Workspace, Iru, Revolut people, Linear.
• Use AI tooling to automate manual IT related tasks.
• Own all office hardware problems: laptops, meeting room AV and printers.
• Provide 2nd line IT support and assist in onboarding/offboarding staff.

We are looking for a hands‑on and technically skilled 2nd Line IT Engineer to keep Fuse running at full speed. You will own the day‑to‑day technical environment across two office locations, ensuring our applications, infrastructure and end‑user hardware operate reliably so we can focus on building the future of energy. The ideal candidate is a problem‑solver who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable owning issues end‑to‑end, from Google Workspace to a firewall policy change.

• Strong grasp of core networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, Wi‑Fi)
• Networking or security certifications (e.g. CCNP, Fortinet NSE)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
