A leading company in the coatings industry is seeking an IT Network & Systems Engineer to join their UK & Ireland IT team. This role focuses on ensuring optimal network support and providing day-to-day IT assistance. The successful candidate will oversee local area IT network management and operational technology, ensuring efficient productivity across the company. SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UK & Ireland IT team. The team support the whole UK organisation with both IT, OT and Networks.Responsibilities:
Support UK & Ireland's Local area IT network regarding VLAN and DHCP configuration along with switch configuration/installation and patch management.
Support Local Operational Technology (OT) network and servers along with their VLAN, DHCP and switch configuration/installation and patch management - including links to SCADA/PLC devices.
Support Local Facilities network patch management, VLAN and DHCP configuration, Spanning Tree Protocol along with switch configuration/installation.
Support Local Wireless Access Points by ensuring optimal coverage and availability
Manage site CCTV Cameras & Server along with associated local VM
Manage site access control systems along with associated local VM
Assist 3rd Party Network support team in maintaining all UK ISP internet connections and routers for UK & Ireland
Responsible for all incidents, events, and service requests that are assigned to be resolved and attended to within the service levels dictated at the End to End Framework by regular KPI reporting and monitoring
Assist and support end-users (1st and 2nd Level) by trouble-shooting IT systems and software, registering and follow-up on caretaker tickets, provide training to ensure that Digital IT tools are used effectively and become a source of competitive advantage
Assist site Operations by ensuring operations have regular contact with IT by being their key contact regarding IT systems functionality and for process improvement support, especially where IT systems/processes can improve business efficiency
Coordinate with IT vendors in the installation of systems, devices, and components and troubleshooting problems to enable the smooth running of everyday business operations.
Responsible for fully documenting Network infrastructure and keeping documentation up to date.
Will be required to assist other members of local/regional IT in general activities and assist in project work as and when necessary.
Some UK & International travel will be required, a full driving license is therefore preferable.
