We are recruiting for an IT Manager!

Purpose of the role

Main responsibilities

• Provide professional management support to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Install, configure, maintain, and document hardware, software, and networks.
• Ensure the security of IT systems and data, implementing best practices and protocols.
• Complete the annual Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of technical issues and solutions.
• Collaborate with the organisation’s external IT partner, Jisc, and network with IT departments of other colleges and IT SysMan members to ensure best practices.
• Provide training and guidance to end users.
• Lead IT projects and quality improvement initiatives, including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
• Manage the cloud telephony system.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend system improvements.
• Develop and report monthly IT-related KPIs.
• Manage the annual IT budget.
• Work with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure IT continuity and data recovery plans are in place.
• Promote and implement high data protection standards.
