Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an IT Maintenance Engineer located in Bridgend. The IT Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, providing technical support, and maintaining IT systems onsite (Use of Pool vehicles). The successful candidate will have previous experience working within the ICT sector, preferably in 2nd line support, with on-site experience with customers. When not performing on-site visits, you will assist the IT Helpdesk remotely from our Pencoed office.

Responsibilities include:

1. Attending customer sites to diagnose and repair services as applicable
2. Performing routine maintenance on hardware, software, and networks
3. Diagnosing and resolving technical issues across desktops, servers, and networking equipment
4. Installing and configuring software applications and operating systems
5. Providing technical support to users for hardware and software concerns
6. Maintaining detailed documentation of IT assets, activities, and troubleshooting procedures
7. Collaborating with IT teams to improve system reliability and efficiency
8. Ensuring compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and best practices
9. Responding to inbound customer calls requiring technical assistance
10. Troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues remotely
11. Monitoring IT issues to ensure faults are resolved within SLAs
12. Communicating effectively with end-users, colleagues, and management to resolve issues and keep customers updated
13. Providing consistent, world-class service
