Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is seeking a Head of IT to lead our internal IT function across Bristol-based offices, with occasional travel to Cardiff and Midsomer Norton. This hands-on leadership role reports to the COO and oversees a small in-house team plus our MSP, ensuring the IT estate meets business needs while protecting against cyber threats.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading internal IT in a growing tech/manufacturing organisation.
• Strong hybrid cloud skills in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Experience managing MSPs and IT suppliers with SLAs and performance reviews.
• Proven ability to run IT budgets, delivery plans and align IT with business goals.
• Excellent communication with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the in-house IT team.
• Own the corporate IT estate end to end: Microsoft 365, endpoints, networks and telephony.
• Define support routing, escalations and service levels with MSPs.
• Manage MSPs and IT suppliers, including quarterly service reviews and renewals.
• Oversee IT budgets, delivery plans and longer-term technology roadmap.
• Protect data assets and manage cyber security posture.
• Ensure external communications reflect company values and professionalism.
• Own device lifecycle, licensing and policy management.
