Whatyou'llbe doing:

As a IT Intern Infrastructure, you will gain hands‑on experience across Technical Support, Network Operations, and User Workplace Services, supporting the technology that keeps our business running. Based in East Kilbride, you will assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting network infrastructure, deploying and configuring devices, and helping deliver reliable IT services to users across the organisation. This placement provides a unique opportunity to develop practical technical skills while working alongside experienced IT professionals in a fast‑paced enterprise environment.

Key tasks & responsibilities include:

• Provide second-line support for hardware, software, network, and workplace technology issues.
• Assist with the deployment, configuration, and management of end-user devices and IT equipment.
• Support monitoring and maintenance activities across network and infrastructure services.
• Respond to service requests and incidents, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Maintain technical documentation, asset records, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in IT projects, technology rollouts, and service improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Core Technologies to deliver reliable and secure IT services.
• Work alongside other placement students on team projects that develop technical and professional skills.

• UK Driving License: Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least one year
• UK Residency: Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold.)
