Job summary

Hireful is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Platforms Technical Lead (Microsoft stack) for a Bristol-based, permanent role with hybrid working. You will own the Microsoft 365 estate (Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) and drive proactive improvements.

You will manage third‑party vendors, coordinate service delivery to business requirements, lead major incidents, and maintain IAM solutions (SSO, MFA, automated provisioning) within governance and security policies.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, AD, Windows Server and Power Platform.
• Experience managing third‑party vendors and service providers, coordinating IT services and holding partners to account.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure: networking, security, backups, DR, IAM.
• Collaborative, proactive communicator able to take ownership and drive issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical health of the Microsoft 365 estate, monitoring performance, alerts, and proactive improvements.
• Be primary contact for third‑party vendors and MSPs, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and standards.
• Lead major incident response with root-cause analysis and cross-team coordination to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain identity and access management solutions, including SSO, MFA, and automated provisioning, aligning with security policies.

Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Deep working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, Active Directory, Windows Server and Power Platform.
• Solid experience managing third-party vendors and service providers, with a track record of coordinating effective IT services and holding partners to account.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals, including networking, firewalls, email security, backup, disaster recovery and identity and access management.
• A collaborative, proactive approach with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, take ownership of problems, and see things through to resolution.

Responsibilities

We are recruiting an IT Infrastructure & Platforms Technical Lead (Microsoft stack) for a specialist infrastructure and asset management organisation that operates across the UK. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Bristol with hybrid and flexible working available, typically two or three days in the office per week.
