Job summary

NES Fircroft Engineering Services is seeking an IT Infrastructure Architect for the Basingstoke area, with hybrid work (3 days on site, 2 days remote) and flexibility for Dublin-based candidates.

You will define IT infrastructure standards and roadmaps, lead architecture initiatives, collaborate with IT Security, and oversee networks, IAAS, modern workplace tooling, vulnerability scanning and monitoring, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in IT infrastructure with cloud focus.
• Expert level knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem (solutions and licensing).
• Experience managing federated IT teams and delivering programmes/projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience managing IAAS environments.

IT Infrastructure Architect - Permanent - Basingstoke

Location - Basingstoke but open to candidates based in Dublin

Hybrid - 3 days on site, 2 days remote

Possibly up to 25% travel involved with this position to places like Europe and Norh America

Required: - At least 10 years' experience in IT infrastructure, with focus on cloud-based services (eg M365, Intune, Azure, Cloudflare, Tenable, etc). Expert level understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem (solutions & licensing model). Experience managing federated IT teams and delivering programmes and projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Hands on experience managing an IAAS environment.

My client is looking to bring on board an IT Infrastructure Architect to work within their Global IT Team. You will work with stakeholders and define the IT Infrastructure standards and roadmaps, and rollout such services across my client's business

The IT Infrastructure Architect will have responsibility for services including (but not limited to) network/Firewalls, modern workplace, IAAS, vulnerability scanning and service monitoring/alerting. The individual will work collaboratively with IT Security and our business specific IT teams to ensure the appropriate services are fully deployed.

IT Infrastructure Architect Key responsibilities

• Provide infrastructure architecture leadership and expert consulting.
• Research emerging IT infrastructure platforms and initiate projects to introduce appropriate solutions (including architecture, business case, licensing model & intended usage).
• Propose new IT standards and implementation roadmaps for infrastructure services.
• Work with IT vendors to select and implement appropriate IT services.
• Provide technical design expertise to the businesses and support their in-house infrastructure teams.
• Monitor adoption of services, manage compliance reporting and when necessary, assist with remediation.
